The National Super Alliance will on Saturday hold a mega rally at Bomet town, a region perceived to be DP William Ruto’s home turf.
Having unveiled Raila Odinga as flag bearer after many months of consultations, Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto is expected to introduce his new colleagues to locals during an event where he is also expected to launch his reelection bid.
The Chama Cha Mashinani leader signed a memorandum with the opposition and will have his party serving in NASA as an equal partner.
Under NASA arrangement, Odinga, who vowed to serve as one term president, will be deputized by Kalonzo Musyoka.
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi will serve as Premier Cabinet Secretary and will be assisted by Moses Weatangula and an appointee from Rutto’s party.
Coincidentally, Rutto also hosted NASA leaders when the coalition was unveiled in February although he had not formally joined the team.
In what would be a race to watch, the fifth principal of the opposition will face a mother of all battles with Deputy National Assembly Speaker Joyce Laboso, who will be flying Jubilee flag.
