The National Super Alliance (NASA) is set to unveil its presidential candidate early March, a move that will ease anxiety among its supporters.

Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Muysoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, who represents various affiliated parties, are clear favourites.

And with less than six months to August polls, the coalition had reportedly come up with mechanisms that will enable it choose a candidate without causing divisions.

“I want to urge out supporters to remain patient because we cannot keep them waiting any longer. We shall unveil our candidate early next month,” said Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar ahead of Wednesday’s signing of a workable agreement between the affiliates.

But Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire gave a clear hint saying the candidate will coincide with a crucial date in the history of elections which could be March 4, exactly four years since Kenya held elections.

“The issue of candidate should not worry us. We work only concerned with workable formula which we have since done. The date will coincide with a crucial election date,” he said.
