On Friday, NASA CEO Norman Magaya disclosed that the door for dialogue is now closed.
Speaking to KTN, Magaya stated that the Opposition gave the President an ample time to initiate talks but declined.
“We gave President Kenyatta enough time to have a dialogue with us and I can assure you that the door is now closed. The swearing-in will go on as initially planned and dialogue may happen after January 30 between two Presidents,” he stated.Magaya further maintained that the planned swearing will take place on Tuesday as planned despite Nairobi County government closing the venue for innovation.
“Our first option is Uhuru Park, our second option is Uhuru Park and our third option is Uhuru Park,” he said.
NASA had earlier stated that the swearing plans will be suspended if President Uhuru Kenyatta agreed to hold dialogue with Raila.
However, Uhuru has remained silent arguing that he was validly elected.
