The National Super Alliance (Nasa), has declined to confirm, if its presidential candidate Raila Odinga, will participate in the highly anticipated presidential debate.
Debates Media Limited Steering Committee, moved the presidential debate from July 10 to Monday July 24 (today), to allow more time to engage on debates format.
This is after the High Court ruled that the Presidential Debates Guidelines for 2017 Elections were a landmark in the history of the Kenyan Constitution.
On Sunday, Nasa held a press conference at Orange House, and declined to confirm, Raila's attendance, saying "we will cross the bridge when we reach there."
Nasa co-principal Moses Wetangula, on behalf of his colleagues (who were also present), said: "We as a coalition, we have a position in the debate, and we will cross that bridge when we reach there."
Debates Media Limited organised for the debate, involving 8 presidential candidates, starting 5 pm. A debate on Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta who are the main competitors, will start at 8 pm, according to the Steering Committee's programme.
He is however yet to confirm his attendance also.
