The NASA alliance has asked supporters to refrain from violence and confrontation with police.

Speaking in a press conference at Okoa Kenya headquarters in Nairobi on Saturday, NASA campaign chiefs James Orengo and Johnson Muthama condemned the recent brutality meted on the coalition's supporters in various parts of the country.

“We want our supporters to get away from harm’s way. These people are out to kill them and they should not give them that opportunity,” Orengo stated as quoted by The Star.

The NASA chiefs accused the military of taking part in the violence against their supporters in Kibera, Mathare, Kisumu, Migori, Homa Bay and Siaya.

“They are from a paramilitary unit set up for this kind of operation. We said this before but no one was ready to listen to us,” Mr Orengo said
