The National Super Alliance (NASA) took their campaigns to DP William Ruto’s home turf in the Rift Valley, this time camping at one of the NASA brigade’s home camp in Bomet.
The leaders hit out at the Jubilee government, saying they cannot be trusted with the country matters.
NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga hit out at the Jubilee government, saying they have run down the country and abetted corruption.
“Jubilee’s second name is corruption. Look at the people they have fronted to contest elective seats like former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru. You cannot trust Jubilee anymore,” he said.
He pointed out at the fact that his team if NASA principals have agreed not do any business with the government, which will aid in the fight against corruption.
He promised to fulfill all the policies in the NASA manifesto saying they cannot be compared to what Jubilee released.
“The difference between us and them is that we will implement everything that we promised Kenyans because we have concrete ideas that target the youth and create an upward social mobility for them,” he went on.
The leaders further called on Rift Valley residents to support the opposition, saying they were the best option to deliver them from ‘bad leadership’.
The team was treated to a rapturous welcome by the residents, who turned out in large numbers at the Bomet grounds.
During the rally, the elders installed Governor Isaac Ruto as the Kipsigis community spokesperson.
