National Super Alliance (NASA) has suffered another blow ahead of the repeat election.
This is after some Ford-Kenya officials in Trans Nzoia County defected to the Jubilee Party. Ford-Kenya, which is led by Moses Wetangula, is an affiliate of the Opposition alliance, NASA.
Led by branch secretary Martin Waliaula, women's leader Sorophina Masakari and Kiminini chairman James Wanambisi joined Jubilee citing the many projects the Government has initiated in the area.
The leaders were received by Deputy President William Ruto at Birunda Catholic Church on Wednesday.
"We have brought more than 3,000 delegates to Jubilee. We are tired of being in the Opposition and we have decided to join the winning team," Waliaula said.
DP Ruto hailed the leaders, urging them to rally locals behind Jubilee to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta is reelected.
"Vote for Uhuru on the platform of performance and ignore those making noise that there will be no election if there are no reforms," the DP added.
NASA supporters in Ukambani, Narok, Kajiado, Western and Coast- perceived Opposition strongholds- recently have been abandoning NASA for Jubilee.
