National Super Alliance supporters who allegedly vandalized water pipes in Kisumu could face life imprisonment, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa has revealed.

According to Wamalwa, life imprisonment can be effected where an offence committed had an intent to endanger life.

He was speaking after flagging off 30 water trucks and bowsers to the arid and semi-arid regions,

The CS further stated that in other instances, anyone who destroys infrastructure is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years.

On Friday, NASA supporters protests in a push to for eolectoral reforms allegedly vandalize water pipes along Oginga Odinga street.

The incident forced the Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company (Kiwasco) to shut down most of its supply lines to avoid wastage of water.
