[Photo| Courtesy]The National Supper Alliance (Nasa) supporters based in London took to the streets on Thursday to protest what they termed as "sham" repeat presidential election that took place in Kenya on October 26, 2017.The Kenya's embassy in London was forced to close early following the demos that were being held outside the commission.According to the chairman and leader of the demonstrations Geroge Osore, they were protesting against the repeat poll as well as sending out a message that they are not party to it."We are protesting against the sham election going on in Kenya. We are saying we are not party to it. We have seen innocent Kenyans killed. This is the start of resistance and civil disobedience," Osore said as quoted by Standard.The demonstrators had placards written "Uhuru must go", "We need justice" and "Stop police killings".Through a statement that was read during the protests, they stated that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission had failed to conduct the elections in accordance with the Constitution and would not deliver credible election.They further called on the British government to intervene and help solve the current political impasse in Kenya by initiating dialogue among political antagonists. The protestors were about 70 in number.
