A section of NASA supporters drawn from Kitutu Chache South has now said they regret voting for Richard Onyonka in the recently concluded election as he has already started walking towards Jubilee.
According to some locals, Onyonka's recent remarks means he has betrayed NASA leader despite the fact that he gave him an upper hand during the campaigns that saw him emerge victorious.
"We elected Onyonka to parliament knowing he was going to speak on our behalf but we are ashamed that he is supporting Uhuru and we wish we would have voted Samuel Omwando," said Victor Onyambu a resident from the area.
Another NASA supporter Irene Mokua said that they will teach him a lesson come 2022.
"I didn't expect Onyonka to disobey Raila, he is the one who made us change our mind not to vote for ODM's Samuel Omwando," said Irene. Their sentiments come barely hours after the MP said he recognises Uhuru Kenyatta as the legitimate president.
Raila abandoned ODM's candidate Samuel Omwando and opted to support Ford Kenya's Richard Onyonka.
