The National Super Alliance (NASA) leadership has been challenged to ensure their supporters do not infringe on other Kenyans rights while demonstrating.
Uasin Gishu county Assembly leader of majority Josphat Lowoi says there was need for individuals taking part in NASA demos to conduct themselves in a manner that will not other people's daily activities.
Speaking in Eldoret on Sunday, Lowoi expressed concerns over previous protests which had turned chaotic.
"NASA supporters have a right to hold protests but they should also know the same constitution that protects that protects them while on the streets also protects property of other Kenyans," noted the Karuna/ Mibeki MCA.
"We have no issue with peaceful protests but when people start blocking roads and looting supermarkets then that becomes unacceptable," he added.
The Jubilee MCA however asked the NASA leadership to use available legal avenues in pushing for reforms in the country's electoral body (IEBC).
"I don't see how NASA intents to push for reforms in IEBC while blocking motorists and looting other people's property. The law is very clear and that's what they should focus on instead of demonstrations," he added.
NASA has vowed to be staging protests three days weekly, Monday, Wednesday and Friday until top IEBC officials who they claim bungled August 8 polls led by Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba resigns.
