The National Super Alliance (NASA) technical team has reportedly reached an agreement on how to pick the coalition's presidential candidate.
The recommendations were submitted on Tuesday night.
Among the recommendations is that NASA presidential candidate should be chosen by the coalition supporters in the upcoming party primaries, where the winner faces off with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The technical committee also recommended that as an alternative measure, Raila Odinga should be the presidential candidate and Kalonzo Musyoka his running mate. The committee stated that the pair brought in many votes in 2013 and they can still pull the same fete in August and are also powered more by the inclusion of Musalia mudavadi.
However, deliberations are still on among the committee members to find a near to perfect framework of accommodating the co-principals who fail to capture the two top seats if NASA ascends to power.
With this new development, it is now certain that NASA supporters have to wait until April to know who faces the incumbent in the August 8th polls.
