NASA Young Turks have given acting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i until Wednesday next week to withdraw his directive or face it rough from the young supporters.
This comes after Matiang'i said that the adopt-a-polling-station strategy by NASA will not work since the government will limit the persons allowed at polling stations on voting day.
Speaking on Saturday after Matiang'i's directive, Party national chairperson Jaoko Oburu said Matiang'i must withdraw the directive by Wednesday "otherwise we will march in the streets to push him out".
NASA Young Turks Nairobi branch said that the Opposition will not succumb to threats by the CS.
"The CS is participating in scare mongering and perhaps he is part of a wider scheme by the government to scuttle the elections," said Nairobi branch chair Jonah Onyango.
"Even the birds in the air understand how Kenyans have suffered due to bungled elections. We have decided to be creative enough to safeguard our votes," said Joseph Nyaringo, a supporter.
The Opposition outfit said NASA volunteer youths have already adopted 35,679 out of the more than 40,000 polling stations in the country and added that the adoption will be peaceful.
