The National Super Alliance team will hold a plebiscite in its first few months in power to accommodate principals who will not be flag bearers, Kalonzo Musyoka has hinted.
Already, the opposition team is yet to pick a single presidential candidate to face Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee in August polls.
Kalonzo Musyoka, Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi have expressed their desire to lead the opposition outfit.
Even though the current constitutional arrangement cannot allow them to fit given their status, Musyoka’s sentiments reveals further the opposition’s plan to remain intact.
“Nasa is the only option to remove Jubilee from power. We will stay together through thick and thin,” Musyoka said during his tour to Kilifi on Sunday.
The former Vice President further said: “We shall introduce the Prime Minister post to accommodate all of us and Coast shall have a minimum of a Deputy Prime Minister.”
Despite his sensational revelation, the opposition principals had before denied any intention to bring constitutional amendments.
Should the team win, Kenyans would therefore have to be subjected to another election that would see creation of the PM position.
