The National Super Alliance government will give free uniforms, desks and food to school going children once elected, its leader Raila Odinga has confirmed.
Other than uniforms, NASA has also pledged to pay fee to all children in primary and secondary schools from September this year.
Speaking in a series of campaigns at Kajiado on Tuesday, Odinga said his government will seal corruption loopholes and use seized wealth to promote education.
“It will not be just school fee; NASA will ensure children get free food, uniforms, desks and even stationeries.
“There is a lot of money that is being lost to graft which Jubilee is glorifying. Our promises are real and won’t be like the failed delivery of laptops like Jubilee,” he added in reference to Jubilee’s promise to give all class one pupils laptops.
While Jubilee has also promised to waive school fee by January, NASA team insists that the plan is possible immediately they take over.
The NASA team is due to launch its manifesto on June 27th in Nairobi, few weeks to much anticipated August elections.
