Opposition team NASA is set to hold a mega rally in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s home turf Nyeri during Madaraka day celebrations.
Coincidentally, the two rival teams are likely to share a platform as Kenya commemorates Independence Day in Central Kenya.
Ever since Raila Odinga was unveiled as flag bearer, the team has been on charm offensive against the government and their recent public rally was in Kisii a week ago.
Odinga 72 is set to try his forth and perhaps the final stab at presidency and has already hinted that should NASA win, he will only serve as a transitional president.
Two days later, the team will unveil its campaigns across the country in which former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi will be in charge.
Also in the team is flamboyant Nairobi businessman Jimmy Wanjigi, who helped craft Jubilee manifesto in 2013 but has since fallen out of favour with the establishment.
As part of its spirited campaign, NASA has set a target of 10 million votes of over 18 million eligible voters in the country.
