Legislators from the Western Region on Saturday evening made it apparent that there is no need joining the government.
The leaders were speaking at Kakamega's golf club hotel after a meeting meant to deliberate on the future of NASA.
The meeting led by Lugari legislator was graced by leaders from the affiliate parties of NASA apart from ODM.
Lugari member of parliament, Ayub Savula, said there was no need joining the government and forgetting the need to fight for Kenyans in terms of new reforms.
"We can not join ODM in singing the Jubilee lullaby at the expense of Kenyans who too see the government was pushed to implement free secondary education and many other election pledges made," Mr. Savula said.
The Lugari legislator continued to say that joining a government that is against their people won't be significant.
According to him, the government has been sacking western people hence no need being part of such government.
"How can we be part of a government that is busy sacking our sons the latest causality being PS Sammy Itere," he said.
At the same time, Alred Agoi promised that the coalition will work together as opposition.
According to the member of parliament, the leaders agreed that they will work as NASA to bring reforms to the country.
"We shall carry on with the reform agenda as NASA and whether we shall meet somewhere based on what our Jubilee and ODM colleagues put on the table in terms of driving the reforms agenda forward," said Mr. Alfred.
