Homa Bay woman representative Gladys Wanga has said that the opposition will win the August 8 general election in the first round.

Wanga says the presidential polls will not go for a re-run as some analysts are predicting.

She stated that opposition is well prepared to win the election in the first round.

According to Wanga, Jubilee’s tyranny of numbers will not work for them this time round.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta should prepare to go home in the first round, there will be no re-run as being predicted by some analysts,” she said during an interview on Citizen TV on Friday.

Wanga said Kenyans have lost hope in President Uhuru’s administration and are only waiting for the election day to make their voices.

The MP said the opposition has the numbers to unseat Uhuru.

Wanga criticised the Jubilee government, accusing it of failing to deliver on the election pledges it made to Kenyans in 2013.

“Jubilee government has miserably failed and time has come for it to be shown the door,” she said.

Wanga accused President Uhuru's government of tolerating corruption and allegedly overburdening Kenyans with high taxes.
