Junet Mohammed says President Uhuru Kenyatta should prepare for a first round defeat in August given the change anticipation across the country.

Both NASA and Jubilee teams are keen to avoid a runoff in August polls and have invested their time campaigning in perceived swing regions.

But in Ndanai on Wednesday, Junet said NASA would win convincingly given its acceptability across all communities in Kenya.

“NASA is going to win in round one. We have done our own research and that is the fact. You all better join the winning team.

“I have traversed all parts and everybody seems to support NASA. Jubilee we less popular and they know that. We are not repeating this election because the dynamics favours us,” he added.

Similar sentiments were echoed by NASA leaders led by Raila Odinga and Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto who is defending his seat on CCM party.

The team is keen to win Rift Valley votes which they lost in 2013 elections to Jubilee courtesy of DP William Ruto’s influence.
