“NASA has no intentions of abandoning or discriminating the Muslim community if it forms government in August as being speculated by some leaders,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.

Aden said that Muslims stand to gain if Raila Odinga wins the August 8 polls.

“I want to assure Muslims and the larger Somali community that NASA has their interests at heart contrary to what is being speculated by some people,” he added.

Aden stated that NASA will represent the interests of all Kenyans. He said that Jubilee government has done nothing to promote the interests and welfare of Muslims and the large Somali community.

The ODM MP hit out at some leaders in Garissa who he accused of inciting locals against NASA.

He said that North Eastern will overwhelmingly vote for NASA in the August 8 polls.

Aden urged locals to uphold peace this electioneering period.

The lawmaker is seeking re-election on ODM ticket.

He faces stiff competition from Abdi Omar Shurie who is contesting on Jubilee Party ticket.
