NASA presidential deputy flag bearer Kalonzo Musyoka has pleaded with North Eastern residents to endorse Raila Odinga’s presidency, assuring them that the NASA government will champion their welfare if it clinches power in the coming August 8 general election.

Addressing supporters during campaign rally at Garissa Primary school on Sunday, Kalonzo said that Jubilee government has neglected the region and deserve not to be re-elected.

He said that the North Eastern region is still grappling with insecurity, poor infrastructure and marginalization of communities.

The NASA deputy flag bearer said that NASA’s first agenda if elected will be to implement the Truth Justice and Reconciliation (TJRC) report that recommends compensation of victims of historical injustices.

Kalonzo also told residents that NASA has identified key infrastructural   projects which it will initiate if it clinches power and forms government on August 8.

“NASA government will fight for your interests and that of other Kenyans without favor or discrimination,” Kalonzo said as quoted by the Standard.

The Wiper party leader urged residents nit t be swayed by Jubilee saying that ruing government has failed to deliver on the promises it made to Kenyans in 2013.

Both NASA and Jubilee are jostling for North Eastern votes with political analysts classifying the Northern region as a swing vote that will determine the presidential winner in the coming August 8 polls.
