NASA will continue pushing for the country's final liberation from poor governance, says Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Speaking after he failed to attend the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s swearing-in ceremony at Uhuru Park in Nairobi, Kalonzo urged NASA supporters to remain strong as they seek to take over power.

He dismissed claims there were cracks within the alliance.

“As we call our troops to order, I want to reiterate that we are a properly registered outfit, the best of NASA is yet to come, “ Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo said he could not have taken the oath even if he attended the swearing-in ceremony.

He made the remarks after receiving fierce criticisms for what some NASA supporters and leaders across the country termed betrayal.

“Tuesday, January 30, was a holistic day.The multitude that was at Uhuru Park was a replica of the time Mwai Kibaki returned from London in 2002, and it was the most peaceful gathering of Kenyans who wanted to make a political decision," Kalonzo said.

He added, "We were aware of the attendance, political risks, and personal security, our brother Raila offered to be sworn in first. And even if we attended, I could not have taken the oath. A new date will be issued when I shall be sworn in."

Kalonzo, Amani  National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula skipped Raila's inauguration.
