Kiminini Member of Parliament Chris Wamalwa has reiterated that the Nasa coalition is going to name a flag-bearer before the month ends.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Wamalwa said that Nasa principals were consulting on who to front against Jubilee party come August and will announce the person in due course of the month.
"The Nasa principals are consulting on who is the best person to face the Jubilee party in the forthcoming elections. The best candidate will be announced before this month ends and this will give the coalition time to fully campaign," said Wamalwa.
The legislator however rubbished claims that the coalition was taking too long to come up with a flag-bearer.
According to Wamalwa, the coalition was still in the time frame set by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on coming up with a presidential candidate and hence there was no pressure at all to name the candidate and his running mate.
"There is no pressure to name a flag-bearer because the coalition is still in the time frame set by IEBC and hence people should hold their horses," added Wamalwa, Tuesday.
