The National Super Alliance (NASA) is optimistic of winning in the forthcoming August 8 polls against Jubilee, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has said.
Junet said the emboldened opposition has enough numbers to send home President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in the August general elections.
“This time, we are ahead of them in this game. We have done our mathematics and we have the figures ready with us. Trust me, on August 8, we will have Jubilee for supper,” he told Sunday Standard.
On Thursday last week, NASA announced that ODM leader Raila Odinga will face off President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee with Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate.
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi is proposed to take up the position of Premier Cabinet Secretary with Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya) and Isaac Rutto (CCM) as his deputies.
However, both President Kenyatta and DP Ruto have told the opposition to prepare for another defeat in the August polls.
The duo said the NASA line-up, a repeat of the one in 2013, will be a walkover for Jubilee.
“We will show them dust. This time it will not be 50 percent plus one but 70 percent plus one,” said Ruto during a political rally in Kiambu County last week.
