In an interview on Radio Citizen on Sunday, the lawmaker said Wiper Democratic Party (WDM), Amani National Congress (ANC) and Ford Kenya are solidly in NASA and are ready to steer its operations in line with the coalition's mission.

"The remaining NASA parties will remain in the alliance should Raila Odinga and his ODM party leave. We are ready to proceed with our operations as a coalition," Maanzo said.

This follows a recent pact signed between Odinga and his sworn rival President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday, one that saw the two agree to shelve their political enmity for the sake of the nation.

The duo also selected a joint team to spearhead their campaign against ethnicity, corruption and other national shortcomings.

The move has since been condemned by the three political blocks citing exclusion, with Maanzo suggesting that they could approach the 2022 general polls as a united team.

"We need each other as no leader can succeed alone. As a result, we will stick together and approach future contests as a bloc," Manzo said.
