Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has rubbished claims that the National Super Alliance (NASA), which is keen to wrestle power from Jubilee in August is headed for a break-up, amid anxiety over the coalition's flag bearer question.
Speaking during his tour of Likoni Constituency on Sunday, Mudavadi who is also in the race for the NASA ticket, urged his coalition partners to remain united lest their effort to deny President Uhuru Kenyatta a second term in office become handicapped.
The former Vice President took the opportunity to pitch for his election bid, saying he is the most qualified and suitable candidate to face Jubilee.
He said the experience he gathered when he was part of the former regimes in various capacities makes him the best bet to carry the NASA flag, and urged residents in the county to support his bid.
On the coalition's chances of winning the August poll, Mudavadi said their force is formidable enough to send Jubilee home.
He, however, said he is ready to support anyone within the coalition for the top seat.
