NASA administration will restore security in the North Eastern region that has been a target by Al-Shabaab attacks within the first 3 months in office, Garrisa township MP aspirant Farah Maalim has said.
Maalim said NASA is able to eliminate the Al-Shabaab menace in the region unlike the current regime, accusing Jubilee of applying unorthodox means in dealing with terror in the region.
"The government security machinery targets young innocent youths and torture them in the name of fighting terror instead of pursuing the terror suspects whenever a crime is committed," he said."Jubilee has proved that they cannot maintain law and order by subjecting innocent people to torture,” he added.
“Kenya is a democratic state where the rule of law is paramount. The law comes first and then order follows. The government security apparatus should conduct its operations within the confines of the law. There are no two ways about it,” he added.
Maalim assured that the NASA government will ensure that the rule of law and order is adhered to by all irrespective of their status in the society.
Maalim who is vying for the Garissa township Mp said that he will beat the incumbent Aden Daule.
