Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot has said Opposition coalition NASA could be poised for a landslide election win following Court of Appeal ruling that presidential results will be announced at constituency level.
Speaking to the media last weekend, the lawmaker noted that the ruling will ensure that poll rigging loopholes are completely sealed, exuding confidence that the upcoming polls will be free and fair.
"The loopholes have been closed and now we are assured of free, fair, credible and verifiable results in the general elections," he stated.
He called on electoral agency IEBC to ensure a smooth and credible process.
Cheruiyot, a former key ally of Deputy President William Ruto further praised Bomet governor Isaac Rutto for uniting the Kalenjins in pursuit of change.
Rutto, the Chama Cha Mashinani leader joined forces with NASA as the fifth principal.
NASA settled on former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as the flag bearer, with former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka expected to deputize him.
The duo will be battling it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, who will be seeking re-election on Jubilee Party.
