According to Ongeri, NASA will be stronger ahead of 2022.

“I hear people saying that NASA has split. Let me clarify that as far as I am concerned NASA is intact and there are no plans to split soon,” he said.

Ongeri urged NASA supporters not to lose trust in NASA leader Raila Odinga following his meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“NASA supporters will have to trust our leader Raila Odinga. His meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta has nothing to do with betrayal as claimed by opponents,” said Ongeri.

He challenged political leaders to focus on service delivery and shun divisive politics which may derail development in their areas of jurisdiction.

“We have been given a mandate by the electorates which should not be abused by anyone. Political leaders such as MPs, senators, governors and MCAs should ensure their areas of administration are developed before the next elections in 2022 failure to which they will be kicked out even before 2022,” he added.

Ongeri was speaking on Friday during the burial of the late Professor Tumbo Oeri at Mosocho in Kitutu Chache South Kisii County.
