[Photo|Twitter]The National Super Alliance (Nasa) is yet to serve the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), with its presidential election petition.Nasa filed the petition at the Supreme Court, Friday, contesting the election results, that saw incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta, declared president elect, Friday August 11, by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.Nasa only had four days starting from the day of filing the petition (August 18), to serve IEBC, through Chebukati, as well as the Jubilee Party through its leader, President Kenyatta, a notice of the petition.The two respondents would be required to file their responses at the Supreme Court, by Thursday August 24.However, IEBC said Nasa had not served them with the petition, as at Sunday at around 4pm, and that efforts to reach their lawyers were futile."Nasa is yet to serve us with the petition. Attempts to collect it from their lawyers on record proved futile as their offices were closed," IEBC twitted, Sunday evening.
