National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have announced its next plan in protests to the arrests of opposition leaders.
The opposition has announced that it is set to hold a series of six rallies this month.
This follows notable arrests of Ruraka legislator Tom Kajwang' and lawyer Miguna Miguna, who have both been accused of participating in an act of treason for swearing-in Raila Odinga as the people's president.
The swearing-in has been downplayed by the government with NASA referring to the event "symbolic representation" of their stand against President Uhuru Kenyatta's regime.
According to Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed the Opposition's stand stating that there was no government in place.
"There is no government and there is no Opposition right now. We just have rulers and servants. What is going on, really, has made the life of anyone thought to be pro-opposition very difficult," Junet said.
"He has neglected the huge strides we had made after the 2010 Constitution, the doctrine of the separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, and devolution."
