Tharaka Nithi governor Muthomi Njuki has dismissed National Super Alliance (NASA) criticism of the repeat presidential election.

According to Njuki, NASA decided to boycott the process and hence cannot give their opinions on what they think may have happened in the repeat election.

In his view, there is nothing wrong with the turnout for the election citing that only 15 million voters out of the registered 19 million turned out to vote in the August general elections.

"I have a problem with people who discuss a process they were never engaged in. NASA is only giving opinions on what they think may have happened in the process. There is no problem with the voter turnout in the repeat presidential election since the August general elections never experienced a 100 per cent turnout," reiterated Njuki.

The governor dismissed NASA's transformation to a resistance movement.

Speaking during a political debate on NTV's AmLive show on Monday, Njuki urged anyone opposing the results of the repeat presidential election to go to the Supreme Court and challenge the outcome.

"We cannot use violence to try and challenge the outcome of an election. Any person challenging the outcome of an election should go to the Supreme Court just as it was done after the August 8th elections," added Njuki.
