An MoU signed by the 5,000-member strong Dock Workers Union to back NASA against Jubilee has been declared null and void.
According to The Star, the deal was signed by DWU chairman Mohamed Sheria who is suspended.
According to the union laws, any suspended official is prohibited from signing deals on behalf of the workers.

The union's constitution also prohibits the chairman from performing the functions of the secretary general.
In absence of the CEO, the deputy secretary general performs his duties.
Sheria, his deputy Gunda Kaneno and treasurer Joseph Makero were suspended on June 2 over alleged misconduct and incompetence.
