The opposition coalition NASA faced the first resistance on their proposed people assembly motion tabled across counties perceived to be their strongholds.
So far Migori, Kakamega and Kisumu County assemblies among others approved a motion by Nasa on the creation of people's assemblies.
However, when the motion was tabled at the Kwale county assembly Jubilee MCAs walked out of as the motion for the formation of the people assembly was being discussed.
Despite the massive walkout by the Jubilee MCAs the motion was passed.
The Motion proposes a review of the constitutional commissions including the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the National Police Service, the National Intelligence Service, the Public Service Commission, the Ethics, and Anti-Corruption Commission and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission be reviewed with the purpose.
