Independent presidential candidate Michael Wainaina has now applied to be enjoined in the petition challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

The petition was filed in the Supreme Court by the National Super Alliance.

Wainaina, who got 9,257 votes in the August 8 polls.

Speaking on Wednesday, Wainaina said that he will be prejudiced if locked out of the petition despite not being affiliated with any political party.

Last Friday, Thirdway Alliance's Ekuru Aukot also applied to join NASA's Supreme Court petition.

He said the election was unfair and praised Raila Odinga's Coalition for turning to the Supreme Court with their claim that the election was rigged.

IEBC declared Uhuru Kenyatta the winner with 8,203,290 votes against NASA candidate Raila Odinga's 6,762,224.
