NASA has once again said that they will hold demonstrations in Nairobi CBD in their push for new electoral reforms.

In a letter to Nairobi County commander Japheth Koome, the coalition wants the police to ensure they provide them with enough security, noting that the demos will be peaceful.

“Our clients intend to hold peaceful processions/ demonstrations on Friday, November 10, 2017 within Nairobi County as part of its quest for electoral justice and an end to electoral impunity in Kenya,” read part of the letter done by Sifuna and Associates Advocates on behalf of the coalition.

“You are hereby notified of the same and requested to provide security during the said procession/ demonstration to ensure criminal elements do not take advantage to harm protesters, the public or any property,” it adds as quoted by the Nation.

The coalition suspended their demonstrations, which were meant to push for electoral reforms, before the October 26 elections.

The IEBC conducted the repeat presidential polls, which President Kenyatta won by a landslide.

The demonstrations turned chaotic in most cases, with many losing their lives indifferent parts of the country.

Last week, NASA leaders led by James Orengo insisted that they will resume weekly demos, as they look to push for reforms.
