NASA has insisted that plans to swear in Raila Odinga as the peoples’ president is firmly on course.

Speaking on Thursday morning at the Okoa Kenya offices in Lovington, NASA strategist David Ndii and Oduor Ongwen said already an assumption of office committee has been constituted to work on the finer details before the exact date is revealed.

Meanwhile, the people’s assembly resume this weekend with a NASA caravan headed to Kakamega where a meeting similar to the once held in Kilifi a few days ago is expected.

“We are aware that the public is eager to hear about the swearing in of the people’s president and deputy president. We want to assure Kenyans that this is on course, and will be the biggest public event that the country will see since independence,” said Ongwen.

“An assumption of office committee which is already working will be unveiled in the coming days and the committee will keep everyone updated on the process of swearing in,” he added.

“This Sunday, we head to Western Kenya to continue with the people driven initiate. The details of the event will be disclosed by the NASA leadership in Western Kenya,”

NASA put on hold the swearing in of Odinga, which was planned for December 12, but the plans have picked pace in the recent days.
