National Super Alliance (Nasa) has once again taken a swipe at the ruling Jubilee Party, accusing it of disrespecting the independence of institutions.
Speaking on Monday in Mombasa, leader of Minority in the National Assembly John Mbadi said the ruling party does not respect the institutions, and Kenyans should be informed about it.
“Jubilee Party must strive to promote democratic ideals with its numbers and stop the desire to erode the powers of other institutions. Jubilee should respect the Judiciary by abiding by its orders,” said Mbadi.
Mbadi was speaking during the 2017 post-election seminar, which was organized by the National Assembly in conjunction with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
“May I remind you that even with your numbers, the responsibility on you is higher and when it comes to lawmaking, you should make a law that you can trust with your enemy,” he added.
The seminar is aimed at providing MPs of the 12th parliament the opportunity to share ideas on how to strengthen experiences in order to promote good governance.
