Deputy speaker in the National Assembly, Ekwe Ethuro has urged Kenyans to reflect and vote wisely during the next General Elections.

Ethruro termed the elections conduct as a sensitive matter that Kenyans cannot afford to take lightly.

The deputy speaker was speaking during the two-day conference aimed at discussing the 2017 election agenda.

Catholic Bishop Cornelius Korir is of the opinion that Kenyans need to evaluate their leaders and make concrete decisions on whom to vote for to avoid the ugly incidences that took place after 2007 general elections.

The bishop also called upon the politicians and the government to embrace dialogue as opposed to constant demos that seem to have intensified in the country

Of a similar opinion was Mombasa Senator Omar Hassan who urged Kenyans to put aside their tribal agenda and instead vote in leaders that would enhance development of the nation as a whole as opposed to that of a few communities

With less than 14 months to the 2017 elections, voter and civic education must be enhanced to enable the public make proper decisions to avoid disputes that may emerge after the 2017 general elections.
