 In a statement released by Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Chairman Lee Karuri and Bishop Alfred Rotich of the Catholic Military Ordinariate, a multi-sectoral forum with members drawn from various sectors would be constituted in January 2018.

According to the team, the first National dialogue forum will take place in February next year.The national dialogue, meant to resolve differences among Kenyans following the divisive 2017 election.

The dialogue is set to run for six months.

“As Kenyans of goodwill seeking the best for our country, we call on everyone with a stake in its future, and especially on Kenya’s political leaders, to support and engage with the national conversation,” read the statement in part.

Mr Karuri and Bishop Rotich noted that they would want the dialogue to involve leaders from both sides of the political divide as well as ordinary Kenyans.

“The issues will be presented by various sectors and compiled for discussion by the multisectoral forum,” they highlighted.

The need for dialogue is being championed by envoys.The envoys have been calling on NASA leader Raila Odinga to shelve his swearing plans and engage in dialogue with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
