Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang has said that KCSE examination dates will not be changed.

Belio said the exam - the first of which will be language oral exams on October 23 - will go on as scheduled.

The final exam will be physics practicals on November 29.

"That commitment has been made and I assure you nothing will make us change the dates," he said on Thursday.

NASA leader Raila Odinga had said that the exams can be postponed to give room for the repeat presidential election, which has been sheduled for October 17.

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi had requested IEBC to hold the election one week before the exams to avoid interrupting exams.

Some schools are used as polling centres and there are teachers who are polling officials.
