People living with disabilities in Uasin Gishu county have a reason to smile after they received the support of various equipment from the National Fund for the disabled.The 33 who applied for support from the Fund received the equipment aimed at helping to sustain themselves in Eldoret on Friday.Speaking while handing over the equipment to successful applicants, National Fund for the disabled finance Manager Anthony Muli said they have purposed to support close to 2.5 million people living with disabilities across the country using sh200 million."Today we are giving out equipment valued at sh1.2 million meant to help the disabled sustain themselves and their families in this county," noted Muli.Turbo Sub County Commissioner Gideon Ombongi who was also present during the exercise challenged the beneficiaries not to sell they equipment they have received."The equipment is meant to help you so we expect that you will make good use of them, take care of it and not to sell," Ombongi told the beneficiaries.The equipment received range from wheelchairs, sewing machines, machines for use in saloons, carpentry and welding among others.
