Kisii deputy governor Mr Joash Maangi has once again thrown a scathing attack of people perceived to be critics of Kisii county government.

Speaking during the governor’s Christmas tree launch outside the county government’s offices, Maangi said the criticism was necessary but urged those opposed to the government to give alternatives for efficiency in running of the county government.

He said constructive criticism was important for the county leadership to identify the rights and the wrongs to improve its performance.

“I always say criticism is very important in any community but what matters is whether those who criticize ought to give alternatives. It’s from that point that we, as the government pick important lessons and improve our services,” he said.

He urged members of the political cycle from the region to work closely with the county government to boost economic growth and integration among all residents for the common good.

“That is why I am always open in my statements that all politicians should work together to boost economic growth among our people. A society with less political squabbles always prospers. It’s not fair to see the wrongs in a government and not come forward to give us alternative methods to remedy the situation,” he added.

He urged area residents to shun politicians who were always inciting them against the county government leadership without identifying the positives the county had achieved since 2013.
