Nairobi senatorial aspirant Johnson Sakaja has called on the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to concentrate on issues of importance to the country.
This comes after NCIC pronounced the '10 million strong' by NASA as a political slogan in bad faith. According to NCIC, the slogan could lead to a crisis if the coalition fails to get the 10 million votes in August.
"NCIC has lost track on its mandate for the country. Political slogans are all rhetoric and should not be castigated if they are do not gear towards inciting the people," said Sakaja.
The nominated MP also accused the commission of being biased in their observation.
Sakaja believes the Jubilee party has also come up with the 70+1 slogan which equates to almost 45 million votes and so should have also been warned by NCIC.
"The commission should also stop being biased. Jubilee has also made slogans like 70+1 which equates to 45 million votes and so should also have been warned," added Sakaja.
Sakaja made the remarks during an interview on NTV's Sidebar show on Wednesday.
