The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has condemned the killing of a pupil during a KDF operation to flush illegal herders out of Laikipia County.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the Francis Ole Kaparo led commission called for speedy investigations into the matter and avoidance of such incidences in the future.
The pupil was killed on Tuesday morning after getting caught in clashes in Rumuruti.
“We are calling for speedy investigations into the matter and avoidance of a repeat,” ole Kaparo said in a statement.
Kaparo said the NCIC does not endorse destruction including burning houses and killing animals.
“The commission condemns use of excess force.Such action will result in more tension among communities in the county,” he said.
