The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) chairman, Francis Ole Kaparo has strongly condemned the unrest and destruction of property by Cord supporters during the anti-IEBC protests.
He said the unfolding events are characteristic of the period just before 2007/2008 violence and that there is no sense for political elites to begin another poisonous conflict that can drive the country to civil strife.
Kaparo also condemned the police and accused them of using excessive force on the demonstrators and added that his commission won't sit back and watch the series of events roll back the gains made to unite the nation.
The chairman urged security agencies to refrain from using excessive force on demonstrators.
