Nairobi County has been mentioned as being among one of the nineteen counties that is at risk of facing election violence ahead of the 2017 national elections.
In an internal report conducted and published by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), Kibera is going go to be among the troublesome and problematic regions in the city-county.
Announcing the contents of the report in Nairobi on Monday, the commission's chairman, Francis Ole Kaparo pointed out that his commissioners are working tirelessly to avert the situation ahead of the forth committing polls.
Other counties mentioned adversely in list of poll chaos hotspots include Kisumu, Nakuru, Mombasa, Narok, Eldoret, Kericho, Kisii, Isiolo, Homabay, Turkana, Kiambu, Bungoma, , Kilifi, Migori, Lamu, Baringo and Pokot.
The report comes at a time when the government spokesman, Eric Kiraithe, made a firm assurance to the public that government's strategies on electoral plans are reliable, transparent and watertight, noting that any form skirmishes prior to, during or after the incoming general elections shall be condoned.
Kenyans have, therefore, been urged to preach peace and reconciliation to avert any possible cases of violence.
