According to the report, the mapped counties are 'problematic and therefore residents should be keen.'

The government too has been called upon to closely monitor the said counties.

NCIC boss Francis ole Kaparo, however, revealed that his commission is working hard to avert violence in the country; before, during and after the 2017 general election.

Also, the commission revealed that more police are set to be deployed in the counties this year starting July.

The police will be monitoring the counties and check any possible causes of violence like hate speech.

The commission will also recruit around 100 people to help monitor peace in different areas where they will be deployed to.

The counties on the radar are Nakuru, Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Narok, Uasin Gishu (Eldoret), Isiolo, Kisii, Kericho, Turkana, Homabay, Bungoma, Baringo, Lamu, Migori, Pokot, Kiambu and Kilifi.
