Addressing media in Nakuru, Aden Abdi Mohammed from National Cohesion and Integration Commission fired the salvo to politicians.

“We are working with the IEBC to ensure that we monitor and even bar rogue and hate mongers from vying for any elective posts and this is in line with chapter 6 of the constitution,” he said.

His sentiments were echoed by Professor Gitile Naituli from NCIC.

“As a commission we understand the only way to bring about peace in our nation is to instill the message through our children and thus why we are working closely with school heads to ensure that is achieved,” said Professor Naituli.

On his part Kimani Kibe the National chair Amani Clubs Kenya said they are in the process of doing a strategic mapping for the 2017 through incorporating schools in preaching peace.

“We are here to do the strategic plan for 2017 that will see students being incorporated to preach peace in schools and society at large. This will ensure peaceful elections,” he said.
