Wavinya Ndeti has maintained that she is the chosen  Wiper's candidate for Machakos Gubernatorial seat.

She has affirmed that she will not go into primaries.

“I am now running for Machakos governor on a Wiper ticket and I am the gubernatorial candidate for Wiper party in Machakos," Ndeti said.

The announcement seems to be a big blow to Bernard Kiala, who is also eyeing the seat.

The Chama Cha Uzalendo leader joined Kalonzo Musyoka's party and she teamed up with outgoing East Africa Legislative Assembly member Peter Mathuki in the race for the highly contested seat held by Alfred Mutua.

Speaking at St Jude Catholic Church in Athi River town on Friday, Ndeti exuded confidence that she will trounce incumbent Alfred Mutua come August.

Kiala on his part has maintained that people will decide on Wiper's candidate in Machakos.
